HOST YOUR EVENT WITH US
Music Nights
For first-time performers, we typically do not charge a rental fee or offer a guaranteed performance fee. Instead, once bar sales reach a minimum of $300, the artist receives 20% of total bar sales from the event. Artists are encouraged to promote the event alongside Altared. Music nights are generally held outside regular store hours and are subject to availability and compatibility with the space. Send us a link to your music and your idea! hello@altared.ca
Private Events
Looking to have Altared all to yourself? Our space is available for private events, celebrations, corporate gatherings, workshops, and other occasions.
Private rentals start at $200 for up to 3 hours, plus $25/hour for a bartender/staff member. Private rentals give your group exclusive use of the space, with additional time and event-specific arrangements available upon request. Art Events
Altared is open to collaborating with local artists on exhibitions, showcases, pop-ups, and other creative events. For events held during regular store hours and open to the public, we may be able to provide the space free of charge, depending on the event's format and scope. Private exhibitions, opening-night events, or events requiring the space outside of regular hours may be subject to a rental or staffing fee. Book Launches
We love supporting authors and hosting book launches, readings, signings, and literary events that align with our vision. During regular store hours, we are open to collaborating on book events free of charge, provided the event remains open to the public and works alongside regular café/store operations. For events requiring exclusive use of the space, private evening hours, or additional staffing, rental fees apply. Hosting a Group (after hours, when the cafe/shop is closed)
In some cases, we are open to hosting evening book clubs, circles, meditation or therapy groups after hours. This can be a one-off or a weekly/monthly event. The details and cost will depend on timing, compatibility, and availability. Send us an email with your idea. hello@altared.ca
